Linnea’s has great atmosphere! I was so pleased to see many high-quality and unique tea options, as I am not a big coffee drinker. I also enjoyed their morning glory muffin. Many places just offer tea bags, but I ordered a delicious English Breakfast Tea Latte and it was wonderful. The tea flavor was strong, not watered down, and it was not bitter. The staff was also super friendly and it was a pleasant surprise that if you order for sit-down they bring you your food and drink.

This could be my favorite coffee shop. I gave one star. The only reason is the fact that it is very cold inside. They open all the windows and doors in the middle of Winter when it is between 50-55F. If they had window on the roof, believe me they would climb to the roof and they would open that too. Despite warning and requests they keep all the doors open even in 50F. I know many friends who don’t go there for this particular reason. Otherwise it is a great coffee shop, good cafe and food, very nice staff except one person.

Stopped at this local coffee shop there other day. Was actually pretty packed even though Scout odd just a few feet away. They have nice seating both indoors and out. Apparently they do music in the back sometimes. Ordered a vegan pumpkin muffin, it was amazing. I keep thinking about how good it was. Icing on top with a little bit of cinnamon and it was filled with a generous amount of chocolate chips. Ordered a cold brew and a hot latte with almond milk. Both were of good quality. I did enjoy the flavor of their espresso. My one gripe was that it just took a long time to make the drinks, but again, they were pretty busy and there isn’t that much space behind the counter to make the drinks. Definitely a great SLO haunt that I would visit again.

Grew up going here. The food is great. The atmosphere is awesome. I’m 40 now and been coming here since I was in high school. From the punk rock garden street days To open mic night reading poems, Hearing the piano played. Hanging out doing homework or Bible study in the back garden sipping on great coffee or tea now that I’m having a kid I will love bringing her here and telling her stories of garden street and how this historical coffee shop is the only thing still there. I even worked as the baker for a short time. (Baking was not my thing ? ) It has not changed even with new owners and I hope it never does.

I highly recommend Rusty of Linnea’s for her vegan wedding cakes. My daughter and son-in-law met with her before the wedding for a tasting, and were so impressed with her vegan options and well as the delicious flavors of each cake they tasted. It was hard, but they managed to narrow their choices down to 3 cakes. Rusty’s customer service and communication was consistently outstanding throughout the process. The day of the wedding, the cakes were packed for transport and ready for pickup at the designated time. The cakes were decorated beautifully, and in exactly the manner that my daughter had requested. The guests at the wedding all raved about the yummy flavors. We are completely impressed with Rusty and look forward to enjoying more of her baked goods in the future.

A lovely spot to grab a drink and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. This cafe features indoor and outdoor seating, a piano, koi pond and literature to peruse. The staff greeted my group with the most friendly service and created delicious matcha lattes.

Stopped in for an afternoon coffee. The staff was very nice and the back garden area delightful. And dog friendly
