The Silver Legacy hotel has a bunch of great dining spots. One of my favorites is Central Cafe. They have a wide variety of food, from classic breakfast dishes like steak and egg plates to Asian-inspired meals. The service is super fast and friendly, and the food is really tasty. The prices are pretty reasonable too. I was really impressed and I’ll definitely be back!

Each time we have visited Reno and silver legacy casino, we tend to eat here because it’s right upstairs. This trip, we ate here about 4 times and each time…the food was good, the convenience of it being there is good, and the service was great. The variety of different food was also wonderful, whether you want American, Asian, Mexican, or just finger food.

Laxmi was an amazing server. We came for my mom’s 60th birthday this weekend and she made our morning! She was so nice, joking around, and it was great! She is such a great member of your team, we might just have to come by again before we head home! ❤️

We had great service from the Godfather, Lloyd. The Nachos were delicious and weighed about 5 pounds, shared between 3 of us. By the time our lunch was served, we were full but very delighted! My Terriyaki chicken was so delicious but I still could not stop eating because it was fantastic! The fish and chips was excellent!!! Thank you Cafe Central!

Pedimos variado, alitas, sandwich, tacos y espaguetis; que junto las cervezas y refrescos para cinco personas costó 159 $ con propina incluida (salimos a 29 € por persona).

Lloyd, the Godfather of Service at the Silver Legacy’s breakfast restaurant in Reno, is nothing short of legendary. From the moment you step through the door, it’s clear you’re in the hands of a master who’s seen it all and knows exactly how to elevate every dining experience. Lloyd doesn’t just take orders; he crafts stories, intuiting your mood, preferences, and even unspoken cravings to guide you to the perfect meal.

He has an almost magical ability to make every guest feel like family, weaving together genuine warmth, sharp humor, and unparalleled attention to detail. Whether it’s recommending the fluffiest pancakes or customizing a meal that hits all the right notes, Lloyd’s instincts are spot-on. It’s as if he’s known you for years, and his suggestions always land with the precision of someone who deeply understands the art of service.

Lloyd’s energy fills the room, turning a simple breakfast into an unforgettable experience. He doesn’t just provide service; he creates a memory you’ll want to relive every time you’re in Reno. The Silver Legacy is lucky to have him, and so are all of us who get the chance to be part of his culinary narrative. Bravo, Lloyd!

Terrible Experience at Cafe Central – Avoid at All Costs

My family and I arrived at the Silver Legacy Casino just after 9 PM, exhausted from a flight from South Carolina to Las Vegas followed by a seven-hour drive to Reno. We were staying at Circus Circus (a regrettable choice, but that's another story). Expecting ample late-night dining options in a casino, we were shocked to find limited choices. The front desk provided a list stating that Habit Burger and Cafe Central would be open. However, Habit Burger was closed, so we made our way to Cafe Central with our tired 11-year-old in tow.

We ordered takeout: tacos for my wife, fish and chips for myself, and a burger for our son. Fifteen minutes later, only the burger was ready. When we inquired about the rest of the food, we were told it was on its way. After another ten minutes, the rest of the order was handed to us by a helpful young lady.

The trek back to our room took about ten minutes, involving several small flights of stairs—a challenge while carrying luggage and food. Upon reaching our room, we discovered there was no cutlery provided. The tacos came with rice and other sides, and we had no way to eat them. The fries included with the meals looked and felt like rubber bands; they seemed as if they had been cooked hours earlier and left under a heat lamp. They were the worst excuse for French fries I've ever seen.

We tried calling the front desk and Cafe Central for assistance, but no one picked up. Reluctantly, I made the 20-minute round trip back to the restaurant to get cutlery. I explained the situation and was offered to speak with the duty manager. A young man with a beard appeared, and I recounted our experience regarding the fries and lack of cutlery. His demeanor was polite but came across as smarmy and supercilious. He asked if I wanted the fries replaced but noted it would take time. Given that our original order was already 30 minutes old, I declined. He simply shrugged and handed me the cutlery.

The next morning, I spoke to the front desk, who promised that the food and beverage manager would contact me that day. No call came. The following morning, I inquired again and was told they had left a message, yet I received no calls or voicemails. On the third day, I had the same conversation with the front desk and still no response.

This level of poor service, not just from the restaurant but also from the management, is unacceptable. It's astonishing that customer satisfaction isn't a priority here. Given this experience, I have no desire to gamble or spend any more time at any of the three casinos owned by Caesars Entertainment in the area. Outside of Vegas, it seems customer service is not a focus.
