I live nearby and wanted to try a local place to eat for lunch.
This Cafe is located at the corner of Jones and Russell in a small mini-mall next to a Wing Stop.
It has a very homey, cozy vibe interior with industrial
type edison bulb lighting, rustic Midwest vintage decor with a splash of Star Wars memorabilia (the owner loves Star Wars), comfortable seating on weathered couches or tables and chairs, and a chalkboard menu.
The menu leans heavily on teas, coffees, shakes, and hot and cold lattes.
In addition there is a selection of sandwich options and fresh baked treats available.
You order at the counter, pay, and wait for your name to be called.
I ordered the Turkey Pesto sandwich. It comes with potato chips and served in a clear square to-go container. It was $11.50.
Given that it's a local place and the price level of restaurant food, this was about what I expected but was expecting it to be served on a plate rather than a to-go container with a side of more than store-bought Ruffles potato chips (my only slight criticisms).
The warm, toasted sandwich was what I had hoped. A tasty blend of pesto, fresh greens, sun-dried tomatoes, and turkey breast on delicious panini-pressed toasted hearty fresh bread.
It was a healthy portion and tasted delicious.
I didn't try any of their drinks or baked goods, but I will on future visits (of which there will be.)
I really enjoyed my sandwich far better than any chain options available within the area.
Also the service was cheerful, friendly, and helpful.
I definitely think it's worth giving this cute, cozy neighborhood place a try.

We visited Café 86 with my work team from Dallas Texas and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for relaxing or having a work meeting. The staff was exceptional, always attentive and friendly. Moreover, the quality of the coffee and the variety of options on the menu impressed all of us. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience in Las Vegas.

Love their upside down halo-halo! The place is also very nice for meet-ups. They have a variety of desserts.

I ordered a pastrami sandwich + Mango Mahalo tea, they were both delicious & refreshing!
Lastly we ordered a desert that was fusion of a churro & mochi, and had ube ice cream in top! It was amazing!
Staff is incredibly kind and keep the place clean and in great shape!

All she wanted was boba. So I found this place and went here instead.

We had a “mini” ube halo-halo, a Thai tea boba, and a ube crack cheesecake. The halo-halo was delicious. Filled to the BRIM, turning the mixture almost led to spills. Highly recommend splitting between two, it was thick. Very tasty and hit the spot, even after an amazing dinner. The Thai tea boba satiated the more simple craving but also had the right amount of sweetness to it. Last, the crack cheesecake was aptly named. Somehow, they got it to be fully flavored with ube without being overbearing. Plus the bottom isn’t a graham cracker but had a great crisp to it. Would recommend.

Service: come and good, helpful but nothing special. You’re probably here to study.

Atmosphere: like above, probably here to study. Inoffensive music, enough cafe wall decor and vibes to be cohesive. But it’s the backdrop to the star of the night: you and the baked goods you’re eating

My first time here. My sisters told me that they have incredible treats here. They were right. We ordered the Ube Monster, Upside down Halo-Halo and the leche flan ube muffins. The shakes were incredible. So full of ube flavor, sweet and intense flavor. The leche flan and the halo-halo ingredients were good textures. It took me a bit to get through it. It was a wonderful journey to a sugar high. The decor in this place is so Instagramable. It feels comfortable and cozy. And yeah the service is quite good here. Their professional and friendly. I'd love to come back but I'm from out of town. Maybe one day. Thank you. 😊
