Somewhat hidden cafe with peaceful outdoor dining. Came here for a late lunch with some friends but they still served the breakfast menu at 2pm on a Saturday. You order at the counter and receive a number for the waitress to bring out your food. Even though it was in between normal meal times, the wait was pretty long - it took about 30 minutes to get our food. I opted for the veggie burrito bowl and it was extremely filling. There was a good amount of avocado and the sweet potato had a nice flavor. Fries were thin and crispy. Credit cards accepted. Metered street parking. The entrance is down an alley but there is signage at the opening.

i love this place! we’re visiting LA and were hoping to grab some food and coffee near melrose ave and all the cafes were SO busy until we stumbled across SOL
we ordered the vegetarian burrito bowl and bacon & cheese croissant and they were both amazing
my iced americano was also delicious
the store is so cute and not busy and spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating
the baristas and music were also amazing would 10/10 recommend

Today was my first time dining at S.O.L. Cafè and it was a mixed experience.

I’ll start with the service, which was painful. The girl behind the counter was so busy chatting with a friend, that I stood there for a good 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. It wasn’t until a guy came out and asked if I was ready to order. He was warm, friendly and helpful. I placed my order and sat down, vowing never to return.

Then my Halloumi bowl arrived. It looked fresh and healthy. I was almost annoyed that if it tasted as good as it looked, I may have to return and suffer the awful parking and service. And it was a great bowl. They used quality produce and ingredients, making it flavorful and nourishing. The tzatziki complimented the grilled halloumi and olives. I was thrown off that there was fried eggplant in the bowl, which was not listed in the ingredients on the menu. But overall it was a great bowl.

Not sure if it’s worth fighting the parking and service, but I may give it one more shot.

This cafe used to be great and has sadly dropped the ball! It’s been a while since I’ve visited and was saddened by how bad it was yesterday. I ordered a flat white and a pastry. The flat white was awful !! Very sorry excuse for one, boiling hot, burnt, bitter, and milk was not textured and no micro foam. The pastry was at least a couple of days old. Tables were not cleared, staff were more concerned with talking to each other.

I work in the area and often eat here during my lunch break. The food is really good and affordable. The staff is professional, welcoming and friendly, especially Tonio. I highly recommend this place.

My experience at S.O.L Cafe was quite enjoyable. The breakfast burrito and orange juice were delicious, but I must admit it's on the pricier side. Nevertheless, the quality of the food made it a worthwhile visit. A solid 4-star experience.

One of our favourite meals out in Los Angeles. The customer service was lovely and the food excellent. Our order: the Breakfast Burrito, the Sausage & Egg brekkie sandwich (w/ crispy potato) and an OJ. I know the Breakfast Burrito is the famous menu item but I actually think the Sausage & Egg brekkie sandwich might be even better! Highly recommended! Our total bill for two was almost $47.

A cute hidden spot in Beverly Hills. Their drinks are tasty and their pastries are also flaky and filled with deliciousness!
